PROJECT SUMMARY
Both of my grandmothers (Popo Lew on mom's side and Grandma Salaets on dad's side) were very crafty, and with the guidance of them, mom's sister Susan, and Mom, I learned how to sew, quilt, and crochet.

I can't pretend that I am an expert in any of these mediums, especially without their assistance, but I enjoy dabbling in crafts when I get the urge to create something with my own two hands. I used to refer to myself as a "Dilettantista" because I tend to be minimally experienced in a variety of different craft hobbies instead of devoting time to become an expert in one.

Regardless, I believe that developing habits for precision, extensive planning (measure twice, cut once!), and patience through crafting contributed to the development of my design process, attention to detail, and work ethic.

I may not be able to wear the skirt I recently sewed without someone asking if it's tucked into my underwear, but I can be damn proud that I made it myself.
